Some new makeup favorites [Urban Decay, Colourpop, & more!]
Oh hey, so my name's Linda, and I have a problem.
I am addicted to makeup.
I may not be a makeup expert, but I love collecting these pretty little things. So much so, I'm starting to worry about how I could possibly get my full usage out of all these products....guess I'm just gonna have to play with my makeup more often!
So let's get into the new goodies, shall we?
EYES
When Urban Decay first released this palette in collaboration with Gwen Stefani, I drooled over it and debated getting it. But then that $58 price tag made my heart take a dive like the Titanic, and I decided to hold off on it. But it's always been taunting me, making appearance on my favorite blogs and Youtubers channels. But low and behold, good things do come to those who wait! It's currentlyon sale at Sephora for $39 on sale for $25 now! You better believe I scooped it up in an instant.
Another collaboration was recently done between one of my all-time favorite YouTubers (Jenn Im!) and my all-time favorite makeup companies (Colourpop!).
Together, they created a gorgeous little makeup collection featuring two lipsticks, a lipliner, and the Jenn Ne Sais Quoi eyeshadow quad (I adore the pun). So far, I'm really loving this quad - the colors are perfect for day-to-day and are great quality!
My sample of the Urban Decay Priming Potion finally ran out, so I've been in need of really good primer for my eyes. However, instead of splurging on a full size of UD goodness, I decided to use some points that had added up on my Memebox account and got this Pony Effect Fixi Eye Primer.
Guys...I'm floored. It works better than any primer (including the Urban Decay Priming Potion!) I've ever used.
Now normally, by the end of the day, my eyeshadow could be referred to as Creased Lightening. Yet after applying my makeup at 10 AM, running errands, working a full shift that involved being outside, shaking up margaritas, and being in the sun for 7 hours, by the time I got home I was sure my makeup was shot to hell. However, when I inspected the damage, I almost collapsed out of shock. My eyeshadow had not budged and was just as pristine as the time I'd blended all those colors so precariously onto my lid. WHAT?
All that to say, this is officially my new holy grail eyeshadow primer.
FACE
While shopping around Memebox, I decided to pick up this Pony Effect Strobing Luminizer, and girl. If you love to glow like I do, stop what you're doing and try this highlighter out. It's a shimmery yet natural (does that even make sense?) cream that comes out of a pump bottle (my fave kind of dispenser!) and looks beautiful on. If you follow me on Snapchat perhaps you saw a selfie where I had to brag about my highlight. Yup, it would be all thanks to this gorgeous thing. Because all good products need to come in such pretty packaging.
LIPS
Ah yes, perhaps my biggest weakness - lipsticks. It's just too easy to pick one up! Then before you know it, you're shaking your head in disbelief at the pile of lipsticks on your vanity table thinking "I'm going to have to get a new vanity table dedicated entirely to lipstick to fit everything..."
So! Here are a few more new favorites I've added to the collection. Also, does anyone have lipstick storage tips they'd like to share with me? Because for real...I need help.
Anyone else a makeup addict?
