Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, because...
...we were all in a food coma.
Holy cow, I forgot how much food is usually stored in my parent's house. After living on my own in apartments for a while, the college diet of quick, minimal, and easy has changed me. My stomach is not used to such luxurious foods that take more than 15 minutes to make!
We did the traditional Filipino-American dish of lumpia for Christmas, and I'm gleefully packing away a few Ziploc bags of the delicious rolls to take back to Boise. Unfortunately, my visit home is short lived and I'll have to be heading back to the city in a few days.
But I'm incredibly grateful I get this time back home with friends and family! Nothing quite like being a true bum with neither work nor school to worry about. In between pun battles with my folks, movie marathons, and endless lounging time, I've also been prepping for future blog and Youtube content. These set of photos are brought to you through some light cajoling of my father to help take some outfit snaps. I'm happy to share he also offered to help film a few clips for a future Lookbook video, so keep an eye out for that on my Youtube channel!
This draping, cape-coat is a gorgeous new number from Shein and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's a lovely rich red color that's a welcome splash of vibrancy in my dark hued wardrobe. In a sea of black and white, pops of red and navy have been my favorite accent colors to add - especially if it's in the form of a chic coat!
Paired with a bold statement piece from Happiness Boutique, I'd say this outfit was a success.
How was your Christmas? I hope it was a wonderful time spent with those who matter - and that no matter if it turned out how you hoped or planned, you remember the very reason for the season.
Here's to 2016 being even bigger and brighter!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Love the coat, and it really looks great on you. I've taken a few days off from blogging but I'm all caught up now. So glad you had a great Christmas and now we're looking forward to the New Year. xoxoxo
Ahhh, isn't it nice to bum around for a few days? I told myself I'm allowed to be lazy and easygoing about everything until the first of January. I'm glad you're enjoying all the family time, food, and getting your own blog-related stuff done! I know I have.
That coat is. HOT DAMN. That coat is a winner, Linda. I looovoooveove red on you. It's so gorgeous. And so are you. <3 <3

Ooh, loving the classy color combination here! The shape of that jacket is so unique and chic, and that deep red really takes the look to the next level. That statement necklace is also so edgy and so you!
It makes me happy to hear you had a wonderful time home, surrounded in love and joy. Hehe, and it's always nice to have extra souls willing to snap some photos or film :)
Have a wonderful rest of the holiday season, Linda!

That coat is beautiful - I love the colour! :)
I'm thinking more and more as I get older that Christmas is as much about the food as it is about family, haha! We definitely over ate, but that's what holidays are for, relaxing and enjoying yourself! :)
I like your heart print dress too - reminds me of a pretty one I saw when I checked out the post-Christmas sales, but I didn't buy it. I should have!

I'm so happy that you got to go home for Christmas and spend it with your family. I'm super late in wishing you a Merry Christmas but it sounds like you had a lovely one. :) This coat is really gorgeous on you, these rich berry colors suit you so well - you're one of a few people I've seen pull off this dark lip color, it looks so good on you! Merry Belated Christmas and Happy New Year Linda!
Just wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year. May 2016 be filled with wonderful moments. xoxoxo
