REVIEW // Happiness Boutique & Newdress

Necklace: c/o Happiness Boutique
Hello all, and welcome back to my blog! This past week was a marvelous getaway to the Oregon coast, and I now realize I am not meant to remain landlocked forever. I'll be sharing a travel post soon featuring a few of the million many photos I took while on the trip. However, for now, I've been a terrible blogger and have fallen behind on sharing reviews on several sponsored items that have piled up. I know, I know, shame on me...
However, with school starting up in a couple weeks (ugh), prepare for several "bad blogger" moments. School, social life, and blogging full time can be a hectic schedule. So forgive me, but I'm planning on backing off on the social media a bit in the upcoming months. If there's anything this week-long hiatus taught me, it's that it's best to live in the moment and not worry about photographing/blogging every moment.

Albeit, ironically, I'm planning on putting together a vlog of our Oregon road trip...hehe, so keep an eye out for that ;)
Coat & Sunglasses: c/o NewDress
Today I'm featuring this stunning necklace from Happiness Boutique! I don't know if you've heard about them yet, but they're a jewelry line with the positive goal of spreading joy and glee through their products. When I opened the box containing this necklace, a buzz of excitement shot through me as I peered down at this stunning statement piece. Yup, Happiness Boutique certainly nailed the happy part! As an international store spreading the joy that comes with wearing a special little accessory, I can happily promote them and let you know that their shop is worth the visit!
I'm wearing their Urban Chic Statement Necklace, and man, I already know I'll be pairing it with everything. Although I do have a similar necklace from Shoplately (remember this gem?), I would have to say I prefer this one from Happiness Boutique. While each necklace holds a particular quality that can amplify an outfit, I like the grungier tinge to this one. It's a little bolder, a little tougher, and a lot more my style.
Also, like the duster length trench I'm wearing? While not exactly practical for any really cold weather situations, it adds a pretty, stylish touch to a neutral outfit. It's an item from Newdress, a wholesale style store, so you can guess it's level of quality. I'm not saying you should buy this if you're looking to invest in something that'll last. However, if you want a quick and affordable piece to wear for the season, definitely check it out!
Same goes for their sunglasses. While their clothing is fairly cheap and not the highest quality, I find that their sunglasses look really good and are actually fairly durable! These reflective mirrored sunnies are my new favorite accessories for sure!
Hopefully I'll be updating you more throughout the next few weeks, but I intend to keep things more balanced once school starts. Maybe I'll post once a week, maybe I won't. I may not comment as consistently and thoroughly as I used to, but that doesn't mean I've stopped visiting your blogs. Life happens, and I'm realizing it's best to live in it instead of through a screen.

Hope you all have had a lovely start to your week! And if not...well, just remember that you made it through today, and it's one less day to worry about.

You know, my old roommate learned the same thing... that she wasn't meant to be land locked! Sometimes the ocean just calls to people. I am not one of those people, haha, but I'm so so glad you are! I'm sure you've got a ton of things to think about after that trip, and I'm so happy for you. :) You're this much closer to being a real live mermaid, I'm sure.

Also damn, I am loving your boldness here. That hair, those glasses, the all white ensemble... Linda, you just turned it up a notch! It'S GETTING FASHION IN HERE!!!!1and of course that necklace is banging. The good thing about cheap jewelry is once it wears out you're generally bored of it or it's out of style anyway so.. no loss. :)

You have such a good outlook on life! Real life is the stuff that happens away from screens and is always most important. It's not about likes on social media, it's about connections with people and memories in places :)

On a completely frivolous note, I love your necklace, such a nice statement piece with the white tee :)

Aww, you deserve a break, Linda! I've found that the times I've been a bad blogger are the times I'm enjoying life most (or drowning in schoolwork, but let's focus on the positive haha). It's important to experience adventures without constantly thinking about taking an insta-worthy shot or finding a place to shoot ootds. Best of luck with this next school year! I'll continue to pray that you find the strength to meet all that life throws at you.

As for this look, I'm in love with the mix of textures and styles. I'm a sucker for lace shorts and have always wanted a pair myself. They look so good with the other neutrals! And the edgy black accessories add a very Linda punch. So edgy, much fashion :)

Sending you much love!

Oh yeah dude, I hear ya! I often find myself having no other thoughts except: "blogging, blogging, blog blog blog", jeez, I need my break and a recharge! So do not worry dear, have a beer and relax :D
I looove these sunnies, they're super bad ass, the quality may not be good, but hey with those prices it's all guud! :D
Also, I love Happiness Boutique, the necklace you picked is so artsy and bold, and perfect with this trendy outfit. These guys are awesome!
