Morning Classes

Most nights I lay out an outfit the night before in preparation for the next day. 99% of the time, I end up changing my mind in the morning and creating a completely differently outfit. On one particular Wednesday morning, I decided to wear my sassy "morning person" tee. I woke up feeling particularly unenthusiastic for the day, but putting this on made me feel slightly better. Unfortunately, it was too cold in the morning to take off the scarf, so the majority of my early classes missed out on my wit.
This outfit is by no means remarkable. However, it encapsulates my looks lately. Everything is simple, usually with accents of black and interesting textures. Oh, and tees with text on them are huge for me right now! Attention to detail is becoming more important (a tucked in tee is best to show off your belt for example), and I'm quite happy to see how my style has evolved.
In fact, I'm thinking of putting together a post that will encapsulate each year to demonstrate how much my looks have changed since I started this blog. It will probably be painful (on my end at least) to dig back that far, but I think it will make for a fun post!
Stay tuned :)

Uh I am definitely not a morning person. But kudos for you for at least attempting to plan out your outfit. I usually waste about 10 minutes trying to figure out what I'm wearing -usually mentally as I like to stay under the covers as much as possible. Anyway, I just love this outfit and the way you tucked in your shirt :)

I am loving tucking in shirts and light jumpers to show my belts!
Also, I need that shirt in my life! :-)

Your outfit is simple but that sassy tee is just too fabulous! It really speaks to me and is totally my personality! I do try to pick out my clothes the night before too but sometimes it doesn't work out!

I use to have an 8am class and boy was it grueling. HaHaHa I think I'm a mid morning person, but not early one. So I understand! Everyone would've loved your tee!

I do the exact same thing! I usually scan my closet at night for a general idea of what I want to wear, but I usually change my mind in the morning...so much for planning haha. But I say spontaneous outifts are the best ones!
I love the cheeky tee and totally feel you on the problem of scarves covering them up. Warmth is more important though, in my opinion! Plus, that scarf adds such an eclectic punch to the look. I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunities when the weather is nicer for you to rock the tee on its own.
Also, I was absolutely enamored by your last outfit with the maroon and black. It has to be one of my very favorite outfits of yours thus far! The silhouettes and color combo were very classy, and I loved the glam touch of the necklace and the sweetness of the heart tights. Also, that jacket was fab!
Anyways, glad that things are falling into place for you. God's plan is incredible, isn't it?
I set my alarm to go off at 6:30, which would be a reasonable time to get up, get dressed, do my hair and makeup, and pack my lunch for the day.
So of course I lay in bed until at least 7:00 dosing and cursing at my alarm clock. At least I plan my outfit during that time. XD My look lately has been all layers and sweaters with statement jewelry. Now that my hair is getting longer I can usually change my hair up to create some variety, but alas -- it always ends up in a bun by mid-afternoon. XD
I really like your casual look! I'm glad to hear that statement tees are making a comeback because they are much cheaper to thrift than dresses, I'll tell you that. :P

that is a very fun tee! my kinda tee. And the scarf looks great with it, even if it hid the text a little :)
I'd love to see a style-look back post! :) I was just chatting to Marie (http://www.thejoyoffashionblog.com/) about how I don't use the old outfit photos I have, it would be interesting to do a wrap-up post or two, or a style evolution one!

I love that shirt - I'm a big fan of tees with text too, although I'm probably the only person I know that IS a morning person. Love this effortless look Linda! xx Kat

Oh, I want to see that post! Your style has change quite a bit but it's always seemed very you - your grown has been really organic and natural and it's been fun to watch. I really love this look though, it really is very "you!" That tee shirt looks like perfection, it's so drape-y and gray!
I love and need that t-shirt. It defines me perfectly.
Also, I would love to see a time frame post!

I totally love the tee. I'm also a lover of tees with messages on them hahaha. Perfect simple look, doesn't need anything more. Looking at the photos I was thinking how much your style has changed, even in the last year. Looking forward to seeing those muskateer boots. xoxoxo
I absolutely love this outfit! So casual chic!
I know what you mean about styles changing. My first blog posts are pretty interesting - baby Laura with braces! But, it is always kind of fun too to see how we have grown so far!
