Happy Christmas Eve!

No, my lips are not purple from the cold - they're that dark plummy color from my lipstick! I've heard this shade from Revlon is a good dupe for the MAC Cyber color, and so far, I'm loving it. It's not your average lipstick to rock, and it takes some boldness to put it on thickly. But I'm in love with the edge it adds to a simple outfit.

Again, my look is black, white, and hints of red. It's becoming my go-to. Perhaps this is the part of me that's "growing up", but all I want to wear are simple, classy pieces and interesting accessories. To me, this builds up the best looking outfits and will never grow old.

Also, I found the high waisted jeans of my dreams! It's all thanks to PacSun and their online sale. 50% off and free shipping? Sure, why not?

Anyway, I wore this to go thrift shopping with Kirsten, and we ended up at an old alley way we usually visit downtown to get photos. Like alley cats, we hopped on ledges (well, I did), peered around corners, and scampered about mischievously.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and enjoy some time well spent with loved ones!
Merry Christmas everyone!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Hello hello, Linda!

First, let me say that I love this combo--that sweater of yours is one of my very favorites. It's so versatile and cozy looking! The bold necklace goes with it so perfectly, especially with the triangles.

Next, I'm SO EXCITED for you for next semester. Transferring is a big step, and I can't wait to hear about all your adventures. I'm sure you'll adjust well and have the greatest of times. It's so serendipitous that your old friend will be right by you too :)

Finally, a couple of my favorite posts these past few months I just have to say a few things about--I absolutely adored the "librarian" look and thought the glasses and lipstick made it all the more chic. Also, I found the article on Christianity and Halloween really interesting. I didn't realize that there was that much controversy, but I think you handled whatever criticism you got really gracefully and logically. It's always been unsettling for me to watch Christians follow one rule but not the other. And last but not least, I loved reading about how you grew to love Idaho. I now go to school in a more rural place that I'm used to, and at first I was hesitant, but now I'm completely fond of the gorgeous landscapes and peaceful vibe. I miss the mountains and views as soon as I leave campus.

Anyways, hoping your Christmas was full of love and happiness! Stay stylish and keep being your beautiful, insightful self!

OH, and I almost forgot--I also really resonated with your latest poem. Feeling like we're not enough seems to be common, and I'm glad to see you're combatting it. There will always be people who appear superior to us in some way, but I think it's helpful to remember we're all human and we can't define our value through comparison.

Also, I noticed over the last four months that you had saved a few of my posts on Bloglovin and that always made me smile. Thanks for keeping up despite my absence :)

I'm so happy your high waisted jeans ended up working out, aren't they just wonderful? I know I always have to make myself not wear them every day, they're jut that easy. and woow, those boots! They're fringe goodness so you know I love them! (How is the quality of the just fab ones? o you like them pretty well? They always have really cute boots but I never know if they're worth it.) You're looking pretty sharp in the red/black/white, I love how your cardigan ended up matching the background!
