OOTD // Be A Weirdo
Can you guess how much I love this top?
I'll tell you right now that NO YOU CANNOT FATHOM IT!
Okay, maybe you have something similar in your closet and you can understand. But seriously, this cropped, high neck top from H&M is my latest obsession along with this beret.
I've always been more of a beanie girl, but when I spotted this hat resting in the thrift store for $1, I had to snag it. And I'm so glad I did! Sometimes you need to take a risk and experiment with something outside of your comfort zone. You never know if it'll pay off or not!
And I mean that outside of the fashion realm as well. For 2016, I want to grow as a person in all aspects - which is hard, because I tend to enjoy mediocrity. I'll blame it on my wallflower nature. Blending in and hiding in the background has led to a life spent settling in so many ways.
Maybe that's why I agreed to train to teach a class at my school's gym.
I didn't want to say anything because what if I don't get approved to teach? I have all of this semester to learn bits of the class and teach portions of it, but at the end, I'm going to have to lead a whole 50 minute Lift class by myself in front of the gym director. Then it'll be decided whether I can teach there or not.
But I decided I might as well share this, because regardless of whether I "pass" or not, I am actively seeking growth and am going outside of my comfort zone to do so. And that is nothing to be ashamed of.
Wish me luck!
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
