Love Me, Love Me Not

Boots: Nasty Gal   Tank: JcPenney   Jeans: AE   Bag: Rue 21
Occasionally, I peruse Nasty Gal and daydream about making a purchase from them.
One day, I went through their shoes and chose the filter I always use: Price, Low to High.
When these Shoe Cult Zina Booties came up towards the top, I about lost my mind.
Ohmygaaaaaaahhhhh, I need!

They immediately went into my shopping cart. Originally about $100 for $30?

So anyway, these photos are old, but when I wore these for a short day of classes, one of the girls in my Art History who I've never really talked to turned around and told me, "You always wear the cutest outfits!"
Then after a Diversity meeting later on, I stood up to leave, and the girl next to me gasped outloud.
"Oh my gosh, I LOVE those boots!"
I ran into a friend on campus and the first thing she told me was: "Give me your shoes!"

Aha, so apparently they're a hit. I've been searching for white shoes ever since I realize I was lacking them, and in a bootie form, they're even better. Plus, the print overlay on these add such a cool touch! While it's a 4 1/2 inch heel, they're still comfortable enough for quick walks between buildings and a day spent in the office. These babies give me an attitude just by wearing them - and you can't help but walk with sass. Is this the power of Nasty Gal products?

I wore this later on to meet up with my pal Kirsten, and it was so refreshing to have someone help me get blog photos again. Haha, I've been heavily relying on my tripod lately and forgot how easy photoshoots could be with someone else. Anyway, we went to a sandwich shop downtown to grab some food and catch up, and it was a wonderful time spent with a good friend. Plus, good food! I'm going to have to return to this place with my camera in hand...what is it about downtown shops? They have such character and charm to them.

PS: Check out this Thought Catalog article called Walk With Weight - I love it!

Linda we are so on the same wavelength haha! I always use that filter too...and regretfully stop browsing once the prices start climbing too high. The struggles of being a college student/teenager. (You're not a teenager any more though, right?!?!) My how time flies! Remember when we both had little baby blogs and were just starting out? I still hope you'll come east one day to visit NYC and pop by me!!!!!

Holy moly, 4 1/2 inch heels?! I mean, they're absolutely gorgeous, but I literally just chickened out of buying platform sandals because they were 2 inches haha, I feel like such a wimp right now! Please come over and teach me how to walk in heels :(

OMIGOSH YES! I am always wanting to lug my camera back to those charming little shops that have neat interior design/decor... so very glad I'm not the only one. You gotta take pictures of your food, man. SOMETIMES YOU JUST GOTTA.

Those boots are absolutely delectable. Uh, yes, that is an incredible deal. Yay for snatching that deal up!

Hahaha, it's always extra nice when other people notice how rad your ensembles and/or shoes are, yeah?? ;) My Jeffrey Campbell collection is slowly growing for that reason... and because they last much longer!

Have a wonderful FRIDAY THE 13TH LINDA!!! don't spill any salt ooOOoOo scary

I'm going to echo that girl and say that you always wear the cutest outfits! Love this adorable daisy tee and the printed cardigan.

And that Thought Catalog piece... So powerful. LOVED this part:

"When I say that I am 20 people squint their eyes at me, calculating my inexperience and naiveté. I look back at them wide-eyed in my ferocity and youth. I like to think that my gaze is heavy.

Walk with weight and the people around you will tremble, shake, crumble in your wake. You will not disappear into the cracks because you will be creating them in your wake."

Thanks for sharing! Very appropriate, given your outfit today too. :)

Yes, yes!! Those booties are incredibly gorgeous + the price is super rad. Glad you were able to nab them!! And yeah, definitely nicer to take photos with someone. I often do the remote thing too, which for me means a lot of fumbling and awkward facial expressions! ;) I should do a collection for the blog, oh man, I have some winners. Ha! xoxo

Oh, yes, those boots are pretty darn awesome! I've been looking for a decent pair of white booties, but they're hard to come by. Yours are beauties and you look great in this ensemble! I'll have to check that website out, that's a great price.

Yeah, white shoes are hard to find, it can be so hard to keep them clean. These are so amazing, they almost look like a snakeskin print and they look like they'll wear really well. I see why everyone loved them so much!
