Homicidal Hikes: PT 2
Well here I am again, tree posing in the middle of nowhere.
(In case you missed it, read about the first Homicidal Hike here!)
After Caleb and I came back from our trek to Pillar Falls last week, my friends saw photos on Facebook and asked what the hike was like. Turns out, they wanted to go as well, so one week later, here I was again, tackling this difficult climb. I think it's going to become a goal every time I make it down here to get a shot of me doing vrksasana in a cool spot.
For round two, the group consisted of five people. So it was a bigger group, and it was entertaining trying to keep everyone together! Not to mention, we were wading in water! When Caleb and I had made this hike, it was dry and easy to clamber around. This time, we'd gone the day after several rainy days, and the water had risen an incredible amount!
While climbing the rocks, we found several lizards, and Caleb and I cornered one before I snatched it up. It obviously preferred someone else as a perch, because while she was eager to escape me, once placed in Caleb's hand, she stayed perfectly still and content. It reminded us of the last time we'd hiked down here and we'd found that frog. Haha, only this time, our roles were reversed!
It was a day filled with sun, sweat, and good company! While my legs are killing me from that hike, it was well worth it. Now I'm eager to drag Kirsten and Corina down into this spot...hehe, it'll be fun! I'm sure you'll be seeing more Homicidal Hike posts in the future too. :)
Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end.
