I Feel It In My Bones

I cannot adequately describe the powerful performance that Imagine Dragons hit us with a couple nights ago. We found out that we were their opening show for their Into the Night tour, so it's no wonder they came out with so much energy and enthusiasm. It was incredible!
Sadly, I could only use my iPhone to take pictures since they didn't allow DSLR's into the show. So sorry about the poor quality of photos guys! However, it's fine since I just wanted to soak in the experience and not hide my face behind a piece of technology throughout the whole show. With this band playing, that would've been impossible to do anyway!
The first two opening acts were decent, and The Naked and Famous were fun. However, when the lights dimmed for the entrance of Imagine Dragons, the crowd rose to their feet and a low roar started. When they walked out, the roar rose to a scream. From there, it was as if they fed off our energy and amplified it about 200% and redirected it right back at us.
Every song was performed with so much power, and you could feel the emotion and meaning behind each one. When they started playing Demons, someone whipped out their flashlight, and soon, the whole stadium lit up with everyone's cell phone lights. We all swayed from side to side, caught up in the strength of Dan's voice and the soulfulness behind the lyrics. As he sang to us, he held out the microphone so we could sing back, and to be a part of the enormous volume of voices yelling back the lyrics to him was incredible. You should've seen the look on his face. It was absolutley priceless, the expression of happiness lighting up his features.
The vibe this band presents themselves is one of sheer joy from being able to perform, and the fact that such a huge crowd knows their songs and sings along is something that shocks and delights them. At certain points throughout the show, Dan would just crouch down and hold the microphone out, letting us join in on the performance.

Overall, an incredible night of music and it's one I won't soon forget!
Definitely one of the best birthday presents I've ever received!
Oh, and speaking of, guess who officially turned 20 today?
One more year, guys...hehe

First off, happy birthday! And what cool experiance to have, that looked like a HUGE concert! When we saw them at The Blue Loon there was maybe 200 people and it seemed wat more low key. I'm so happy you had a great time, even from the pictures it seems like they really put on a show. Happy birthday again dear!
