Holiday Florals

Jacket: Forever 21   Cardigan & Tank: thrifted   Scarf & Necklace: c/o Shop Lately   Jeggings: American Eagle   Wedges: Target (gift)  Earrings: Rue 21

I'm still in the midst of training myself to get over my self consciousness in taking my own photos out in public. Usually I'll go to completely abandoned areas where I am free to take as many photos as I want in peace. For this outfit, I ventured over to my college campus and lane of trees for a more woodsy effect. I'm surprised to find that quite a few cars still pass through the area - much to my chagrin.

Ah well, I think I've found a new place to creep about with my tripod and awkwardness!
This cozy knit scarf from Shoplately has been keeping me cozy through these wintery days, and I'm so grateful for it's warmth. Paired it with a matching deep green, floral print tank for some matchy-matchy cuteness.

You know, while writing these posts, I wonder how often I can get away with just yammering about the clothes I wear. This blog has always been a way for me to express myself and share life's moments with you, but lately, I feel as if I don't have much to share. My days consist of: waking up, possibly fitting in a workout, going to work, then coming back to my empty apartment and clean/cook before lounging on my bed blogging or watching tv. I've managed to find time to hangout with my few friends, but still...I wish there was more for me to do! I think after getting used to a crazy semester, this winter break is really getting to me. I'm bored and getting cabin fever!

What do you do to fill your lazy days? Because I feel like I'm having a series of them!

Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.

Holiday florals, such a great concept! I always feel awkward at first too when i start snapping away in public, but then i just eventually get over it cause at the end of the day, no one cares and you'll never again cross paths with the people who see you in action! Cute style!

Oh, and to fill my lazy days, I usually shop online (prob not the best activity...), catch up on reading, take my dog for long walks or just pop in a movie.

Happy new year!

PS I'm running a super awesome give away, you can check it out right here!

Ahh, I wish I had the guts to take outfit pictures in public too! It's bad enough enough that I have neighbours that always seem to be around, haha. I really love the outfit by the way, especially that gorgeous jacket!

On my lazy days...I do nothing. Hahaha! I do enjoy them every now and then because I just lounge around and rest my mind from thinking too much. :)

Love the scarf and the earrings that match!

Taking pictures outside is so scary! I don't know how people do it all the time and ahhh even more so when the road is busy! I am happy with my wall in my house haha.

Love the floral fabric on your top! It is so pretty x

i totally get you linda. sometimes i feel that my readers are so bored with my yammering about my daily routines. but it's ok i think it's perfectly normal. after all, we don't live in a fantasy glamorous world where everyday is a different interesting day haha.

I enjoy downtime and empty slots but I can see how annoying they can be too. I guess I fill my time up with the internet. Pretty lame but I don't really have much more I'm afraid.

crap, I just wrote you a rather long comment and then an error came up out of nowhere. but I wanted to say maybe you should do nature photography somewhere in the middle of beautiful forest or read a good book or watch some fascinating movies. at least I would love to do those things when I had any of those lazy days near me (unfortunately I don't).
oh and I like the combo of tribal and florals and of course your cosy scarf. beautiful colours indeed!

Taking your own photos is scaaaaary! So props to you for that, Miss Linda. I've done it a few times but not enough to be pro at it like you yet. Ah well. Soon :)

You'll be back at school as soon as you know it. I usually fill my busy days with making art and long bike rides and writing blog posts... basically trying to get a feel of what life will be like when I'm out of college, haha.

Your scarf looks absolutely COZY! And I hope you're staying warm. I really like that last picture, too, oh la la!

Ahh, I feel the same! I always seek the most secluded, isolated spots, which is hard in the downtown core :S

And lovely outfit! I really like the floral print top and those booties! I so want to steal that coat of yours too, it has the best print ever.

I'm so feeling that cabin fever too - it's been as cold as -40 (Celsius) here and I'm pretty much taking refuge indoors all the time! I've gone through almost all the documentaries that interest me...countdown to spring has begun! Haha

Your savvy layering always impresses me, you get the perfect and most interesting pieces and textures, super cute scarf and dare the florals. How long is your winter break? Is there no fun class you could take up maybe? Or perhaps volunteer work - at an animal shelter or kids home?
