Merry Christmas!

I've always wanted to try some photography with Christmas lights, and when the chance came, I took it! I had a lot of fun playing with these strands of light and seeing what effects could be created with them.

Yesterday, I decorated a gingerbread house with Corina before she left, watched some Christmas movies with Kirsten, then headed home to my parent's place to play some competitive Monopoly with Christmas music playing in the background. All in all, it's been a simple holiday for me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. As I've grown up, the excitement and merriment of Christmas has faded. It's sad, but this year, I've been so consumed by stress over bills, rent, and school that I hardly enjoyed the build up to this festive day.

However, yesterday and today reminded me just how special today is. It's not about the gifts or sweets (okay, the sweets are a big bonus), but it's about the loved ones you spend it with. I've missed being in my parent's company, and it took being on my own for six months to realize that. There's been an overshadowing of grief among us, but I won't share that with you today. I hope that today finds you thankful, happy, and well. Enjoy it.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas with your dear ones!
Also, I hope we all remember the real reason for Christmas.

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet.
Matthew 2:1-12

Linda, these photos are beautiful doll. Merry Christmas to you. Remember that every Christmas is not the same. I have low key ones. I've had big ones. It's not what others do, but what makes you happy. Your situation will change. You're just going through a period of time doll. Keep your chin up. Things will turn around :)

Merry christmas Linda! :). We've had a pretty low key christmas as well but i feel you about losing some of the magic. Bills, rent, school, work, You don't realize how sweet you have it as a kid. It gets fun agian once you have kids and you start seeing it through their eyes, we did santa for the kids at our christmas eve party and it was so fun to see them get so excited about santa giving them stockings. I hope everythings going okay, i know you said you werent gping to talk about it today but you have my best wishes and prayers. Merry christmas dear

Happy Holidays Linda!!! It's true, the excitement you feel for this celebration kinda fades as you grow older. Christmas is really for kids. However, you'll start to realize what Christmas really means. It's the time given for everyone to enjoy the company of their loved ones. :)

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas Day :)

Somehow I missed your last post and I AM SORRY but you looked absolutely beautiful, Miss Linda. Ugh, must have been my lazy playing 3ds all day. XD WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME

cough, but moving on... Oh goodness, this pictures are so fun, Linda! I love the Christmas lights and how they're sort of blurry and magical. They're almost like little fireflies.

I wish you the best time with your parents, Linda, and that things go well for you for your hardship <3
