Sporting Leather

Tee: Rue 21   Leggings & Plaid Buttondown: thrifted   Wedges: GoJane   Backpack: Lulus   Arm Warmers & Bracelet: c/o FiiGirl

The nip of fall is chilling the morning air, which makes it easier to start wearing my fall-winter pieces again. These leather tuxedo leggings are something I've been dying to break out since I thrifted them early this summer! I've spied many girls rocking their plaid button downs wrapped around their waist and copied their look for a day of class. Plus, with my new arm warmers from Fii Girl, I had a lot of fun pretending I was a punk. Not to mention they're a ton of fun to wear to Zumba class!

I went home last week to do laundry as well as dig out all of my fall/winter shoes. These sneaker wedges will be making a major reappearance around here that's for sure! I can't tell you how excited I am to wear all of my boots and wedges again!

Coming back home is always a bittersweet taste of homesickness. I've forgotten how lovely it is to be taken care of! Plus, seeing my dog Prince again always makes me long to take him with me. Its nice being more independent, and I've learned more about myself in this short time frame than I have in a year. Who knew I'd enjoy reading cooking books or interior design books? There's a little homemaker in me after all!
However, mom's got me beat at that, so this girl still enjoys coming home to some homecooked meals and goodies. Plus, free laundry. :)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Perfect scripture today!

Your ensemble is so fun! I love it. It is so you/your style when I think of you.

Repeat after me Dorothy: "There's no place like home. There's no place like home.

I remember learning tons of things in my first semester in college life. Not just the college courses but the roommates, guys to date, neighbors, places to hang out and just the rapidness of the whole thing, and the temporary lives that touch mine and the ones that I was able to be a part of and being able to keep up. Life is grand at your age. Soak it all in. ♥

And now you are the rock star...well, punk rock star anyway :) So gorgeous! Never liked leather pants (seem hot and squeaky) but you make them look totally sexy, especially that 2nd to the last shot. And those arm warmers get my vote as well. Big fan of gloves in fashion and that modern take on them is wonderful. Shot 3 is the star of the show, though (show though--rhyming me :D) as it features those beautiful eyes! Glad you are enjoying a trip home and all mom's good home cookin' :)

Haha, the 90s are so msking a come back! I love how you have such a street edge to your looks, you would look totally right in place on one of those street style blogs. It is funny how once you move out on your own, you really do discover this whole other side to yourself. (i love design mags, i want my house to look like something out of town and country.)

Linda! I love this outfit on you. When I saw it pop up on Facebook, I got super excited over it--you remind me of some kind of kickass comic book character, ehehehe! It must be those arm warmers and the leather leggings. You look ready to kick some serious booty. And I love lovelolovelove the green. Ugh, your outfits make me heart do swooning things, la la laa!

Isn't coming home so nice? Especially that you get to see your dog (and free laundry, aw yiss!). Have a beautiful weekend!

well, sometimes you just need those home cooked meals. or actually meals cooked by your mother (or father) when you have your own home/house. anyway, I have to say the combo of classic black and bright emerald green is pretty fabulous! and that backpack looks really nice too.
