Tank: DIY   Skirt & Boots: thrifted  Bag: c/o Wholesale-Dress
I am so excited to share this, but it looks like I've got another photographer to add to my list of helpers! It's been difficult trying to manage with a tripod, and I only use that method as a last resort. So when my roommate and good friend Corina offered to take photos for me, I happily took her up on it. Turns out, she's got a fairly good eye for what's wanted in outfit photos! I showed her a couple pointers and some other blog photos from before, and she picked up on it quickly. Plus, while out and about snapping photos, we came up with an awesome new series of posts to start up on the blog. I can't wait to share it with you! :)

Let's just say, I won't be the only one getting the spotlight on this blog.

Also, yikes. Is this the third outfit post in a row where I'm wearing these boots? Haha, it must be true shoe love! This outfit is something I wore while out running around town and doing some thrifting. I felt really awesome in it, to be frank. The knit headwrap is a favorite piece from last fall, and the mix of tie dye and lace is a fun way to tie a summer and fall texture together.

You know, its really funny living with a fashion illiterate friend. I never realized just how silly we all must sound to people who don't know what "houndstooth print" is or what "oxfords" are. Let's just say it's been humorous imparting fashion terms to Corina. She still likes to make fun of houndstooth and purposefully-accidentally likes to call it "dog's bite" instead.

So on Monday I start school again, and I can't wait to get started on my art classes! Of course, the first few days will be boring and filled with talks about the syllabus and whatnot. First few days are always slow. I'll be sure to let you know how they go!

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak

Oooh, Linda! I hope your art classes are so much fun! We can "suffer" through them together. Hahaha, I'm taking three art classes plus two Honors courses... I'm going to be dead this semester. Productive dead, yeah? hahaha. Let us know how it goes!! <3

Also, how awesome that your friend helps you with your pictures? These look great! I love the warm glow from the sun. And girl, no worries about wearing those boots over and over again... they're comfy, they're cute, I've got no complaints! I practically live in my JC oxfords around campus, so I know that feel, bro. (gives you a bro fist bump)

Yeaaaa, we're brooooooos. BROS.

Your tiny pinwheel necklace is adorable, too. It's funny, I came across a dress patterned like that today (which I did not buy, no, alas) and it totally reminded me of you. ;) That print is so you, Linda!!

Have an awesome start to your college weeeeek!

Those boots are working, girl, you stick with 'em all you like :) And that head thing is adorable (my fashion vocab is maybe worse than your galpal's.) Very cute top and your nail color is adorable. My favorite thing about these shots, the return of those deep, wonderful, beautiful eyes. Really have to force myself to notice anything else when they are visible :) Especially that 4th shot, very much especially that :) Great post sweetie.

I adore the texture of this skirt with the tie dye top and yay for new photographer friends. Because tripods are not the most fun. I applaud people who do that regularly. And yay for school! I start back Monday as well.

OH MY GOSH YOU LOOK SO ADORABLE. I love the tye-dye look on you and how you styled it. I have very found memories of tye-dying with my aunt when I was a wee one so it was a cool surprise to see another human rocking the print. :P

Good luck with school! And tell your friend she really does have a natural gift with the camera. :D

Ah, Linda! Totally love this tie-dye and lace combo. SO unexpected but so classically you! And it's okay to let those boots have some love--they're so versatile. The lighting in these photos is awesome--I always love sunset photos. So glad she could help you out and I love her sense of humor (dog's bit, haha). I totally get you though! I remember mentioning something as simple as a cardigan in 8th grade, and everyone thought I was crazy! Best of luck in college, girl!

Yay new photographer! I love your hair styled like this, btw :) Hahah and I know totally what you mean. I was going shopping with my cousin, and she looked at me crazy when I used certain words. To be honest, I never really thought I was more aware than the average person about these kinds of things but apparently I am! Yay for shoe love, that's how you know you made a great purchase :)

Lucky you for having a photog victim so close by. I am starting to panic bc soon it will be too dark when I head off to work to take outfit shots - so I'll be traveling with the tripod 24/7..Ugh. It makes a 10 min shoot 30 minutes when I have to set-up all my equip. Moral of story Im JELLY!!

Love your tye dye top and lace skirt. This post actually reminded me that I have two lace things I need to wear b4 Summer is over. :)

Your outfit remains me a little bit of autumn, maybe because of the knitted headband. It is really one cute one.

Oh this tie-dyed is so you!!! There seems to be a cool vibe that you two (you and your shirt) seem to bounce off of each other. Thanks for loving the army green and black. After I did the photos I discovered that I could have worn my camo flats. Nah, my heels were the right choice. hahahaha
