These were taken after I spent two hours out in the sun during the hottest part of the afternoon. Needless to say, I forgot about my back while applying sunscreen, and apparently my arms as well. Usually my skin is so resistant to the sun's rays that I don't need to. However, I think the blazing heat penetrated that defense, and now I finally have tan lines! Something about having them makes me feel like summer has arrived. Nothing like having those odd lines drawn on your skin to prove you've been out enjoying the heat.
This tank top is a recent purchase that I got while on my trip to Boise, and I absolutely love it! It's my go-to top for the past week, and I'm enjoying the fun dip in the back and perfect, slouchy fit. Although I think the dip may be a little too exciting with my bandea top worn underneath. One night at work, I quickly changed into this before I left since I had to go run some errands and didn't want to do that in my unflattering uniform. As I left out the front door, several of the cooks uncharacteristically hollered out:
"See you girl!"
Uh huh. As I looked back questioningly at them and waved, I noticed at least three of them paused, just watching me leave. They never batted an eye before when I scurried out the door in my oversized button down and apron. Slip on a slouchy tank that shows off your back, and then they all stop and watch you go!
Men. They'll never change.
Although I'm curious to see what would happen if I wore this to class...hehe. I think I'll pair it with skinny jeans to keep it from being too over-the-top.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
