What A Hoot

Isn't this owl bag just adorable? When I saw these lovely girls rocking an identical bag on their blog, I secretly kept my eyes peeled for an opportunity to try it out myself. So when my coupon to Romwe arrived, I used it to get myself this cutie.
Now this dress is something I'd really hoped would work out, but I'm sad to say it's just a tad too tight in the arm area (notice how that cardigan remained on in all the photos?) and short in the hemline for me to be comfortable wearing on a regular basis. However, it is rather pretty, and nothing a little layering can't fix for a day. The navy color is lovely, and I adore the pleated skirt part and layered ruffles in the bust area. Now if only it were slightly bigger!
I'm certain by now everyone knows that GFC is shutting down for real. It's rather frustrating since that's my biggest platform for the blog, but I'm trying to view it as a fresh opportunity to try something new. I'll reveal more later when things are more certain, but for now, follow me on Bloglovin here!
So in other news, I can't help but feel relieved by a phone call I received from financial aid. I've been worried about expenses since moving out, and pay day was coming up soon. However, I'd mentally subtracted next month's rent from that, and I was disappointed to find out I probably couldn't take a little weekend trip I'd hoped to go on to visit a friend.
When my phone rang, and I saw it was from a local number, I debated over whether or not I should answer (I don't like phone calls). I figured why not, and slid the unlock button.
"Hello, I need to speak with a Linda?"
"Speaking," I replied.
"I'm just calling to let you know that you have unaccepted summer scholarships for this month, so you'd better accept them by the start of July or they'll be revoked."
My eyes widened. Was she serious?
"Oh my word, thank you for calling me! That's exactly what I need!"
The woman on the line laughed and we hung up.
God answers our needs, even if we don't specifically ask Him sometimes.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
