A Vagabond Princess
|Dress: c/o Dressestylist|
I decided to add my summery boho spin on this dress by wearing a light, floral kimono and went sans shoes. I loved it! Nothing felt more carefree than that. The juxtaposition of the gritty road and this elegant dress made for a fun photography opportunity.
Speaking of, my digital photography class has come to an end, but its opened up some doors. It not only expanded my viewpoint on taking photos, but made me take note of certain technical aspects. I still need more practice, but apparently, others have noticed my photos. I was approached by my high school coach to be the photographer at her wedding! It won't be until September, but she was thrilled I said yes, and it definitely made my week. I can't believe it - my first real photography gig! She said she'd pay me, I just have to name my price. Now to think of a reasonable number...I really have no idea how much I should charge. Any suggestions? I'll be having two other girls helping me out to take pictures, but I was told that I'd be the main photographer. I also plan on doing some touch ups to the best ones. Has anyone done wedding photos? How much would you say is a good price?
So last Friday, I had a long shift at work that ended with a night at the drive-in movies. I'm so happy my area has one of the few remaining drive-ins left! I finally saw Iron Man 3 (eeee! Robert Downey Jr!) along with Oz: The Great and Powerful. However, my lack of circulation made me a freezing mess, to which my friend Saff told me, "Your boyfriend is going to be one happy guy." And then she lent me her hoodie, since she's a thick-skinned Idaho gal and couldn't stand to watch me shiver my way into a cold.
Who needs a date when you've got friends like these?
If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
