Walking On Flowers

So before I get into this post, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who read and commented on my last post. My lola is someone I'll miss, but one of the wonderful things about being a Christian is having hope for the future and being able to see past death.
How adorable are these sandals? Too cute! I absolutely love how delicate and sweet they are. The toe ring the florals form around my feet add such a fun detail! It was much too chilly to play up the summery vibe of them, so I was forced to layer. But with some print mixing (stripes and polka dots anyone?) and a pastel mint color, I don't think it was too bad. We went up to an old favorite place of mine, and it almost felt like deja vu. I remember coming here for my first post that got over 10 comments. It had been gusting that day as well, so in both posts you're going to see some crazy hair! That old post got 17 comments, and I was so thrilled! It blows my mind how many people now visit and leave comments - thank you so much for giving such wonderful feedback!
Sometimes I forget just how beautiful our countryside is here. I'm looking forward to exploring the area more fully during the summer and experimenting with my photography! Isn't this location just stunning? I plan on coming back - maybe on a day when it isn't so windy.
Last Thursday, I think I must've been in some delirious state of mind, because I did not just one, but two Zumba classes, even though I didn't have to make up a class. I just showed up to the second one for fun. What made the night delirious was my decision to go play some intramural volleyball. For three hours.
All I can say is, my legs hurt. But man, did it feel good! I haven't played in so long, and it was a compliment to hear some of the better athletes come up to me afterwards and demand I show up again next week. Haha, guess I know what I'll be doing every Thursday night!
Then on Friday, I went to my school's last dance of the year - the Neon Dance, aka: Blacklight Dance! It was a last minute decision, and its a good thing I'd brought a white t-shirt to change into after work. I spent the night with a group of friends just dancing and having a blast to the pounding music. It was actually my first real dance! I'm just glad it ended up being a good experience. One of the highlights from the night was a dance off between a break dancer and a basketball player! Both were really impressive, and I can't help but marvel at the talent that some people have. Then later on, we formed a circle and I was shoved into the middle by my friend. I think it's a good thing I've been doing Zumba this semester, because those dance moves came in handy! Haha, all in all, it was a fun carefree night with old and new friends.
These long nights in town are just confirming my decision to try and move out in the summer. I'm a little nervous, but I think this will be a chance to really grow and learn to be more independent.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
