Walking On Flowers

Blouse: thrifted   Top: Debs   Jeggings: American Eagle   Sandals: c/o My Hot Shoes   Watch: c/o Feral Watches
So before I get into this post, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who read and commented on my last post. My lola is someone I'll miss, but one of the wonderful things about being a Christian is having hope for the future and being able to see past death.
How adorable are these sandals? Too cute! I absolutely love how delicate and sweet they are. The toe ring the florals form around my feet add such a fun detail! It was much too chilly to play up the summery vibe of them, so I was forced to layer. But with some print mixing (stripes and polka dots anyone?) and a pastel mint color, I don't think it was too bad. We went up to an old favorite place of mine, and it almost felt like deja vu. I remember coming here for my first post that got over 10 comments. It had been gusting that day as well, so in both posts you're going to see some crazy hair! That old post got 17 comments, and I was so thrilled! It blows my mind how many people now visit and leave comments - thank you so much for giving such wonderful feedback!

Sometimes I forget just how beautiful our countryside is here. I'm looking forward to exploring the area more fully during the summer and experimenting with my photography! Isn't this location just stunning? I plan on coming back - maybe on a day when it isn't so windy.

Last Thursday, I think I must've been in some delirious state of mind, because I did not just one, but two Zumba classes, even though I didn't have to make up a class. I just showed up to the second one for fun. What made the night delirious was my decision to go play some intramural volleyball. For three hours.
All I can say is, my legs hurt. But man, did it feel good! I haven't played in so long, and it was a compliment to hear some of the better athletes come up to me afterwards and demand I show up again next week. Haha,  guess I know what I'll be doing every Thursday night!

Then on Friday, I went to my school's last dance of the year - the Neon Dance, aka: Blacklight Dance! It was a last minute decision, and its a good thing I'd brought a white t-shirt to change into after work. I spent the night with a group of friends just dancing and having a blast to the pounding music. It was actually my first real dance! I'm just glad it ended up being a good experience. One of the highlights from the night was a dance off between a break dancer and a basketball player! Both were really impressive, and I can't help but marvel at the talent that some people have. Then later on, we formed a circle and I was shoved into the middle by my friend. I think it's a good thing I've been doing Zumba this semester, because those dance moves came in handy! Haha, all in all, it was a fun carefree night with old and new friends.

These long nights in town are just confirming my decision to try and move out in the summer. I'm a little nervous, but I think this will be a chance to really grow and learn to be more independent.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

Soooooo cute! You've pulled off that spring look very well, even though the weather wasn't cooperating. If you'd like, you can steal some of AZ's warmth; we have plenty to share! Hahaha!
Sounds like a really fun night! Dance parties are the best!

Wooooow. These photos are GORGEOUS. I think the first is my very favorite, it looks like you've take a break from driving non stop across the country on a epic road trip. This spot is so cool looking, the view is amazing in the pictures. I think that's one of the best things about getting into photography, you get so inspired to get out more around your home and take pictures of everywhere and you get some awesome memories while doing it.
The dance sounds like it was so much fun, our school dances back in high school and college, were pretty lame. (Maybe because none of us could dance!) It sounds like such a fun night thought, it always get to get out with a group of people you really like and just have fun. :) (And it sounds like you need to have a little fun, you've had a stressful week!)

What a cute little blouse! Very lucky thrift find. I tell that to everyone every time I see a great thrifted item, because I have such terrible luck at thrift stores!

That dance sounds so fun. I remember my first one. My friends and I spent the whole night slam dancing. We were angry yutes :)

As for your look, never fret about your hair. It is 110% gorgeous whatever it wants to do with itself. And the pattern mixing is great and those pants are REALLY great. The sandals are quirky, adorable and lovely so, of course, they are perfect for you :)

And here we have Idaho!! Your scenic posts always make me a little home sick :) And I'm all over the stripes and dots! And I'm quite jealous of what makes you sore. I run, and I'm sore, and only a little running. But for you it takes 2 zumba classes and 3 hours of volleyball.

And aw, that party sounds pretty fun! Black lights, huh? Did you have any glow sticks? I have yet to go to a party in college... haha. One day, perhaps. :)

Hi Linda, thanks for your comment, I know what you mean about the price of gas there! Its unbelievable, they produce their own in abundance, I guess thats why its so cheap, we pay a lot per liter here in SA, its unjustified.
