Jewel Tones

Top: Philippines   Kimono: c/o August Wrinkle   Jeggings: American Eagle   Necklace: c/o Too Sexy Store   Bag: c/o The 7 Senses   Wedges: c/o My Hot Shoes

This would be another Senate meeting outfit. I knew these teal, tuxedo jeggings would come in handy! I mixed in a navy cut-out top to add more color, and then my cork wedges allowed my leopard kimono to blend in. Overall, I feel like my edgy style is going towards the boho aspect of things. I can't wait to start wearing more summery clothes. For now, these light cover ups from August Wrinkle do the trick!

As for my Creeper Cowboy, I finally resolved it. After about five more annoying texts that I tried ignoring, I finally decided to answer and let him know what was up.
Me: "Look, I'm sorry but I'm not interested in hanging out or anything. Its a rough time for my family right now and I need to focus on them and my schooling. So if you would stop texting me I'd appreciate it. Sorry to lead you on.
His response? "Alright"
And that was that! Easy peasy.
Now let's hope I never run into him again...

On a lighter note, its spring break for me - finally! I saw all you other college girls had it early; well, now its my turn, muhahaha! I'm just slightly excited by the prospect of a few days of neither school or work. Kirsten and I have already made plans of doing some baking, shooting guns, and of course, doing more photography together. I can't wait!

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.
Psalm 37:7-9

how cool is that fierce necklace! oh and those pants.. I saw those over Katie's blog today, hehe. I like it how you have combined a classic black blazer with your teal pants.
btw, how awkward was that cowboy situation :P and it would be even more awkward to meet him again so I hope it doesn't happen ;)
enjoy your vacation, Linda!

I am really impressed with how you handled the creeper cowboy situation...I was wondering what would come of that! That was the perfect response to get him off your back!

This outfit is perfect for senate meetings! The pants definitely have a smart and sophisticated vibe, but paired with some sexy cutouts and leopard print really adds an edgy touch that is your trademark. LOVE it.

FYI, I might be emailing you with a couple of blogging questions in the near future...hope thats okay! :)

Hi Linda, I would never know how to style teal leggings but you're so creative at it! Love how this outfit looks with the beautiful leopard cardi and killer wedges. Glad to hear things have been resolved with Cowboy guy, you're a pro at being diplomatic! Enjoy your Spring Break!

Linda sweet! Sounds like you will be inheriting the land because handled the dumping of said 'cowboy' as a mature and nice that you are. I love how the scripture tied in. Right ON!!!

You always make me smile. I love to come and visit at your blog. Yes, more fun pictures and btw, I love your outfit today a whole bunch, spikes and all!!!!!!

Linda, I just want to give you the biggest hug ever! I felt like such an idiot last night after I hit publish on my comment, like "ohmygosh, why did I just go and stick my foot in my mouth?" But you are just the coolest chick ever! I wish even more than I knew you in rl because you would be way too much fun to talk to, you really seem to look at life with joyful, clear eyes. (And I'm so happy that your new prayer group is fun! I think the college groups tend to be really awesome with a lot of introspection and smart young people coming together. I had a very small group that I attended back in college and it made a huge difference to me at a point where I was really struggling with my spirituality to see other people trying to really connect with God and not just play the game. I hope this group ends up being amazing for you. And one a side note, I always enjoy the verses that you include at the bottom of your posts. Pslams is one book that I love to read because of how beautifully it's written.)

I have to say, I'm so surpised that Mr Cowboy figured it out so fast! Way to go for being tough and just telling him no, those kind of guys just don't catch a hint otherwise. I love seeing you wear these pants, the colors that you've paired them with are so different and stunning. I always feel like I have to style these pants really formal and I love seeing your just incorporate them in to your rocker boho style. (I love that you love studs so much!) Now that I've seen you wear these with the leopard cardigan, I need to try some print with mine and be a little braver! :)

OOOooh Linda, this might be one of my favorite outfits of yours!! I love the layering here of the blazer over your cardigan--it makes you not only look like a superstar emerging from a limo of awesome, but it also makes it look like you've got on a leopard scarf! So very neat indeed. :D

Also, I'm glad that you totally texted that guy what you did and that he'll be leaving you alone now. He's polite about it, which was great!

It's Spring Break for me, too! I honestly don't know what Im going to do all week. You can totally fly over and see me if you have a couple hundred bucks lying around, hahah!

And aw, Linda, your comment was really touching and I just found myself nodding in agreement. I have always struggled with my weight, too, and I still find myself crying in front of mirrors and such over it... and it's so dumb, and we are so dumb to do that! But we still manage to keep doing it to ourselves like it's normal and something we almost have to go through. Ah, but you are a lovely lady, Linda, and I think your bod is supa attractive. I always find myself staring at it--especially that one with the floral wedges and those bright pants a while back... you looked so goooood! Hehe, but thank you for your comment. You really are the loveliest blog friend I've made here. <3
