Hello Beautiful

Top: Rue 21   Kimono: Target   Jeans: American Eagle   Heels: Lulus   Necklace: c/o 2 Hello Beautiful   Bag: c/o August Wrinkle
When I received the message that there was a mandatory Senate meeting on Monday, and we were advised to "dress appropriately" I got a little excited. Finally! I'll have an excuse to wear my dressier items to college now. Haha, although I've never been one for traditional office-wear...my summery, boho style is creeping back, and it'll probably be incorporated into my Senate outfits. Its time to break out florals, sandals, and carefree hairstyles!
This lilac necklace is from To Hello Beautiful, and I have been receiving compliments on it left and right. If you'd like one of your own, don't forget you can use the coupon TRENDYTEAL to get $5 off any purchase of $10 or more!
Also, can you believe these shoes aren't from Zara? Haha, when I stumbled across them on Lulu's, I got ridiculously excited - especially over the $26 price tag. I was so thrilled I ordered two of them - one in black, one in white. So you can guess which heels I'll probably be wearing most often to Senate meetings...hey, if they want us to dress up, I'm not gonna argue!

So yes, I'm officially going to be a Sophomore Senator next year! EEEEEE!! I'm so excited. I've always loved being involved at the school I attend. In high school I took part in sports, art competitions, and always had major roles for our spring plays. I practically felt lazy last semester by not joining any of the college activities. At least now I'll have something to look forward to in the fall. Its going to be a great way to put myself out there, meet new people, and have a say in college events. Plus, let's not lie, the scholarship doesn't hurt.

Alright, now I mentioned a bold cowboy in that last post, didn't I?
Well, I just didn't know how persistent he would be when I wrote that up. My busy schedule has forced me to shoot him down not once...not twice...not three times...but FIVE times! And he still hasn't given up! It almost creeps me out since I met him for all of five minutes and he's already this infatuated and determined. I know I said I like having the boy chase me, but this is too much!
Right now, he may as well be a stranger that's blowing up my phone with texts. It reminds me of a clingy boy I dated in high school....hmmmm...either way, its been making me feel weird about the whole situation and I've decided to back out of his constant invitations to lunch or dinner. I know, I know, this may be me just being overcautious, but I trust my gut feeling. This guy barely knows me and he's already texting me good morning every. day. Its annoying.
Now to try and tell him that...

PS: I've been reading up on the rumor that Google Reader is shutting down, and it seems to be happening on July 1st.  I'd love it if you'd join me here on Bloglovin to stay up to date on my posts!

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Yay, Linda!! I'm glad that you'll be able to start wearing more of your dressy clothes since you're a super awesome SENATE LADY now! Hehehe. I really do love the bun--it definitely tops your outfit off.

Hmmm, that is a little much... He really is determined, isn't he? Idk, when guys are too forward, it actually makes me want to not see them, lol. I much prefer the shy ones (though it does make them a bit harder to find). Anyway, you know what's best, so if something seems weird, listen to that!

Google reader shutting down? OMG NO! :( Well, I guess that's not so bad. It's good for bloglovin' haha!
Also--oo about the boy but also ew, (ew and oo) i kind of agree with you it's creepy that he texts you good morning EVERY DAY! Like that's a little much considering you barely know him. It's kind of flattering too, but I would go with your gut and your gut says creepy (so does mine). Love the heels too. Can't believe they were so cheap! You rock them :) Happy SPRING!

oh hey Linda! This is a double comment (instead of putting one here and on the past post) hahahaha.

I love those shoes but at my age I would break my neck. and I love your hair. I love it up but not tight to your head. Awesome. and wow, I would blow off that tooo much attention dude, too, cuz I have in the past. Cold shoulder comes to mind.

The heart shirt with the mustard sweater and those SHOOOOOOES! OMyEverlivinGosh!!! Size 7 right? Mail them to me NOW!

Linda, you have the best head of hair doll! Your top knot looks so cute and so does your outfit. Gosh, I remember when I could wear heels like that! You go girl! I don't blame you for getting them in black & white. Ok, that guy does sound desperate MUCH. Follow your gut and back away. That's TOO MUCH! Congrats on your new position girl. Next step, CORPORATE! Have a great week!

Oh Linda! I'm mixed up. I thought you told me a few weeks back that you wore a size 7. Me is sorry for joking when in reality the size wouldn't work. I am a dork, ok? They are tremendous shoes. I want some nude heels at Target and I am just going to go get them because I doubt I will find them at a thrift shop this season. I'll put them on Instagram just for you, first. ok?

Whoa, texting good morning everyday? That does seems little excessive and clingy dudes are no fun whatsoever. :P (Maybe he thinks he's being charming and romantic texting you so much, but trust your gut, if you're getting a bad feeling from all of this, don't feel bad about turning him down.)

It sounds so exciting about the senate part, it's so fun to get really involved with different activities. And hey, any chance to get dressed up is fun! Those heels are pretty fabulous but I love seeing all of the ways that you wear your ae jeans, the little kick on these looks so nice with the sexy heel.
