On Trend for Spring

Jacket: thrifted   Tank: Philippines   Jeans: American Eagle   Sunglasses: Philippines   Boots: Payless   Bracelet: c/o RMS   Earrings: Debs

You know those days where you plan your outfit the night before, and the next day it ends up not working?
That's how this black and white outfit came to be. I'd had an entirely different look prepared for the day, but because of a missing tank top, the whole outfit wasn't quite right. All I knew was that I wanted to be a little more polished up for the day, so I whipped out a few things from my closet and ended up with this. I love what I ended up with too! Then I realized I'd just put together something fitting for a 2013 spring trends - bonus! Haha, Trendy Teal was actually on trend this time ;D

These skinny kick jeans from American Eagle are such a fresh basic to have for any closet. It provides a lovely canvas to build outfits on. Plus, I like how it fits my calves and then flares out. Although I had to have mom hem these for me - they were far too long before!

My eclectic taste in jewelry always draws comments. In Photography class, my teacher joked about how my spiked bracelet probably doubled as a defense weapon. I laughed and told her how I had spiked shoes like it and dad always told me I should wear them for a first date! That earned quite a few giggles. Then an older woman in that class winked at the guy next to me and warned him he'd better be careful around me. He just laughed and said, "I know, she might get a little wild on me!"
In case you're wondering, yes, that would be the cute guy I've been referencing lately. I need to come up with an acronym for him or something. CG? Haha, I don't know.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Great outfit! I love black and white paired together!

People often comment about my spiked outfits too. I think it throws people off a bit because we both have cute-y looking faces rather than looking all overly tough where others would want to avoid us haha.

Oh my goodness, precious little comments like the one your cute guy gave are the best little things ever! Hehehe, I bet you just squrmied with happiness over that, Linda. ;) That sounds adorable. And your braclet definitely is a weapon... and a super stylish one, at that! I love it so much! Things that can inflict pain AND look good are so great to own.

I relaly like those shoes, too. Especially against the white pants... boooldd! <3

Can I just say how lovely your bangs are? They looks so perfect on you and are so nice and thick and fall just perfectly! (I'm a little jealous, my bangs have a mind of their own and do exactly what I want them not to do.) Spikes are so awesome and fun, I had a little laugh over your story about CG! (You're right, he needs a special nickname. Something adorable.)

Your photography class must be going really well, aside from getting to hang out with the cutie, I see a huge change in your photographs today. These came out really gorgeous, you've figured out that tricky field of depth thing! Way to go!

And yeah, ae just makes a nice jean. I love your white pair, they look so bright and fresh, I wish it was spring now.

Lindaaaa!! You are adorable. This outfit is too perfect on you. I love that you love American Eagle pants as much as I do. There is something about the fit/quality that makes them a bargain for what they cost. I have a million pairs too and always end up on AE.com after you have featured a pair...it's a bad habit ha (but I actually just purchased a pair of lavender skinnys and can't wait to get them!).

CG is a perfect title for your class cutie...can't wait to hear more :)

I love your skinny kick jeans! White jeans look so versatile. Yup, I have those days all the time hahaha. It looks nice when I am planning it in my head and then I wear it and it totally doesn't work. But your outfit is working out quite well, so I guess it's a good thing that the tank top was missing right? :) hhahah YAY CG ;)
