Final(ly) Free

See that big smile on my face? That would be because I got through finals week, and when these photos were taken, I'd just finished my last one. You can call me one happy girl! I've been checking up on my grades as they're slowly added to the online grade report - so far all A's! Although the Math course hasn't been included yet...aha.
Top & Bag: c/o BuyTrends   Jeans: American Eagle   Wedges: (gift) Payless   Scarf: Aeropostale   Necklace: c/o Estarer

I'm finally FREEEEEEEE!! No more work or school for me. I'm spending what's left of this week with family and friends before I take off for the Philippines for three weeks. We leave Sunday, and I'm so excited. I've still got a few outfits that have been photographed that I'll be posting while traveling, but once those are finished, I'll start blogging directly from the Philippines. It's going to be such a fun experience to document!
Isn't this new top and bag from Buy Trends cute? I really love the slouchy fit of this color-blocked top. It makes for such a cute basic! Plus, the satchel look is one of my favorite designs for bags. I'll have to say, whenever I get items from a Korean wholesale site, I'm wary of the quality of the materials. However, what I've gotten from Buy Trends has exceeded my expectations, and I love it! I've got two more pieces from them I can't wait to show you.
So after my Music final, Kirsten met up with me in the sub where we took these photos. The area was pretty much abandoned, and since it was so cold out, we decided it'd be much warmer (and survivable) trying some pictures indoors for once.
These couches are some of the most comfortable ones I've ever come across. I love crashing here if one of my classes get canceled or there's just a long wait in between. I've taken multiple naps here!
I'm pretty sure I was the only girl on campus who actually remained somewhat dressed up for finals. Haha, what can I say? I just love my wedges! I have to say that I've missed wearing them out too. Here's a confession: I stopped wearing my wedges as much while dating Patrick. Can you guess why?
Well, he was barely 3 inches taller than me, and most of my wedges are right at that height or taller - putting me at an awkward angle above him. Haha, now I know there are couples out there who are perfectly happy despite the girl being taller than the guy, but personally...I'd like to be the shorter one in the relationship. I like the feeling of being small when I stand next to a guy I'm attracted to.
So as mom tells me: "Don't worry Linda, you'll find someone much taller. Now you can wear all your heels and wedges!"
I love that woman...

Yeah, so the photo above would be me reliving the experience known as dead week.
Haha, just thought I'd end on this photo to give you a laugh. :)
Right now, I'm going to meet up with some old high school friends and catch up. It should be a good time!
Hope your all enjoying this time of year with loved ones as well.

The Lord your God who goes before you will himself fight for you, just as he did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness, where you have seen how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way that you went until you came to this place.
(Deuteronomy 1:30-31)

Haha, I always dreaded seeing my math score too...It was always my worst one! Congrats you're doing so great on yours though! I love satchel bags too. That's all I wear anymore, I think they just transition so well into any style. I stopped wearing my really high heels around my hubby too...he's like the same height as me so I look like a giant next to him. But now I don't care! I wear them anyway, haha. I hope you have an amazing time in the Philippines lovely lady! Can't wait to see your posts while you're there.

Hooray for being done! You deserve all the happiness in this post :) I'm so happy you can wear wedges again (I do get that, though I'll probably never have that problem being as short as I am), they're so cute. And I love this bag too! Hope you're having a great start to your winter break, Linda!

Wow, way to go! That takes a lot of hard work, so congratulations on your good grades, that's really cool! (And how nice to be done!) I always dressed up for my finals as well, I just can't concentrate if I feel grubby and still in my pjs, so I completely agree with you there! It's going to be so exciting to see your posts when you're on vacation, you'll have to posts a ton of pictures of the island if you're able too.

And dude girl, rock those wedges. :)

Oooh, those booties really are cute! And I love your cozywarm scarf. High five for dressing up during finals week. I'm sure you destroyed that math test of yours, took it down, drove it into the ground, etc etc. ;D Haha!

Oh man... I totally feel the same way--I hope that my man of choice is taller than me, because I really want to be able to wear all my cute heels. I'm already quite tall without them, so finding a tall guy is definitely on my to-do list, hahaha!

&& aw aw awe liNDA~ <3 <3 I'm so lucky to have met you, too! Blog buddies for life, alright? And real life buddies for life. BUDDIES FOR LIFE IN GENERAL, YEA!
