This is what I wore to go Black Friday shopping with Kirsten. So you know how you think the lighting must be sunset? Nope, that would be sunrise. And you can't hear it through the photos (hehe, that sentence just made a lot of sense, huh?), but Kirsten and I would have to let out a squeal now and then through our chattering teeth because of how cold it was! Thankfully, it warmed up as the day progressed, so my cardigan was just enough to stay comfortable.
I'm amassing American Eagle denim quite rapidly lately. I went from owning zero pairs to four in about two months time. Its because I've finally found a brand of denim that actually fits me right. Quite a feat to achieve! Plus, it helps that lately they've been having sales on their clearance, which put these pairs of jeans into an irresistible category of prices. This tie-dye pair practically placed themselves into my hands, and I'm not sure what happened next, but all I know is I was walking out of the store with another eagle emblazoned bag.
To cover up my second-day hair, I used my favorite headwrap from Rire again. The knit material keeps my ears and entire head warm, so I love that it also doubles as a cover up for greasy hair. Haha, it's perfect!
So, while running on about four hours of sleep, Kirsten and I hit up all the sales at the mall and I was able to cross off the majority of people I was shopping for. Now I won't have to think about what to get everybody for Christmas - yay! Plus, I found a few things for myself as well - I know, real selfless, eh? Haha, I couldn't resist!
Then Kirsten had to go to work, and I met up with Patrick at his house for some leftover turkey dinner and pumpkin pie. Mmmmm, so good! His mom makes this delicious, homemade cranberry jello that complements the meat so well. Afterwards we curled up on the couch and watched a rerun of the dog show. Nothing like cute dogs to soothe you into sleep!
Then that night, we met up at the theater along with our friends to watch Skyfall. It was a great action flick! There was this one line that gave the whole crowd a laugh. So in this scene, Bond goes back to his old house, and asks the guy who's been doing the upkeep of it where his rack of guns went. The old man's reply was: "Oh they sold the lot to someone in Idaho or some place like that."
Haha, shout out to my home state! It was perfect.
Did any of you go Black Friday shopping?
