Loving Him Was Red

Sweater: thrifted   Jeggings: American Eagle   Boots: c/o My Hot Shoes   Ring: Forever 21   Scarf: Aeropostale   Glasses: c/o Firmoo

I have finally found them.
The perfect pair of coated jeans.
And they're from American Eagle (definitely my new fave place to shop for denim!).
Yup, I'm pretty sure I'll just be living in these during the winter. For your sake I'll try switching it up and photographing other outfits, but you can bet on days when I haven't posted I'll be wearing these babies.
Also, the knit infinity scarf? Total Black Friday score. I'll probably just have this permanently wrapped around my neck for the next few months as well.
It was really bright when we took these photos, so I'm going to try and find a better time to get pictures for the next post. Its frustrating trying to do that though! There's never a good time or photographer at hand. What I need to do is get a tripod so I won't have to be a nuisance to my poor mom. Haha, she's only so willing to help me out after all - especially with the chill of winter setting in. It gets cold out there!
Oh, on another side note...I was interviewed by Smashion! Go check it out here!
So do you ever feel so out of place? I'm sure we all have at one time or another.
I've felt that so many times. Like I don't even fit in with people my age. When there's a social event of any kind, I'm either: a) quiet observer, b) awkward wallflower, or c) the loner.
It makes me feel so isolated at times. Listening to the laughter and gleeful chatter of girls with their group of friends or flirting with boys makes me think "Wow...I can never be like that."
I'm more solemn and not as "fun" as they are. At times I regret that, but then I realize that's just not who I am, and I can't change it without coming off as a fake. So I won't, and I'm grateful I have people in my life who understand that!
Not sure where all that came from, but it just appeared at the forefront of my mind. Probably because I'm sitting in the corner of the Fine Arts building alone, typing this up on my laptop, and hearing all these chipper girls/guys milling around...haha!

So I messed around with one of the pictures and did a little editing on it. What do you think?
Also, this Taylor Swift song is stuck in my head...

PS: Don't forget about the ManEater cuff giveaway going on here!
It ends on Friday!

I love the over-sized sweater and WHAT!? I've been on a search for a nice pair of coated denim and you found yours at AE!? I'm gonna go check it out this weekend, I'm sure it's more affordable than some of the other ones I've found online!!

You look beautiful, love. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind words about my little Maddox. He had a blood transfusion today and we should know if its helped a little tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Thanks again, girl. It means the world to me. xo

Wait, what? AE has coated jeans now?! Yay!
I love this pair, I've been looking for a pair of coated jeans but, alas, they've all been way, way out of my price range so far. Go AE on being on top of things. (And these look fabulous on you, I can't wait to see all of the way you style them.)
I'm a pretty awkward chick at a party, I'm not really a fan of huge crowds or loud noise, so I usually fall asleep. (Yeah, I'm one party animal.) But it's okay, not everyone really enjoys those sort of things and being serious is pretty nice, super chirpy people get annoying after long periods of exposure.

love the boots Linda! and I hear you with the photo taking dilemma.. I'm experiencing exactly the same problem here except that its too dark here these days, instead of too bright. and then sometimes my photographer doesn't agree with what i want... but can't blame him cos really, its not a volunteer/paid work haha. anyway, really love the boots and the heart printed jumper!

I love that sweater! Cute thrifted find.

I often feel like I don't "fit in" with people my age either - I always feel more comfortable around an older age group.

we don’t have to be all the same. as you said, the main thing is that you have a few key people in your life that understand and love you. I don’t think I’m a social butterfly either, but the more comfortable you become with being by yourself, the more confident you’ll get and it will help you open up with others as well. at least that’s how it is with me :)

I COMPLETELY know what you about not fitting in! I've always gotten along with people way older than me because I have a hard time relating to people my own age. It's always nice hearing that other people are just like me :) I love this scarf (and I still think the sweater is adorable), what a great Black Friday find!

oh, I remember that sweater! it's still awesome and so are the boots. besides red is the colour of Christmas so the timing is pretty good ;)
I also think people should stay true to themselves and not try to be someone else in order to be liked by others. fake can't be good and your true friends like you because of the fact who you are! :)

Coated jeans... I haven't head of those before! But hey, they look really nice on you, and finding the right pair of jeans is SO DIFFICULT. I can only buy my jeans from one place. Everywhere else they'll never fit. So congrats on that find, MISS LINDA <3

um, this outfit is perfect. I love black and red together and red booties are always amazing and your heart sweater is perfect and your ring is great and yeah this is lovely (run on sentence much?)

STAY BEAUTIFUL (of course you will :D)
