Fall Print Mixing: Stripes and Animal Print

Jacket: c/o Sammy Dress   Top: Debs   Skirt: Rue 21   Tights: Target   Boots: c/o My Hot Shoes

Here's another demonstration of print mixing - once again I used that basic, striped tee from last post and paired it with another print - little birds!
And once more, that rule of using a shared color in both prints plays a big role in this look. Both prints are black and white, which is why they work so well together. To add some color, I paired this new, flowy cardigan from Sammy Dress and a matching pair of tights. Plus, nothing like some spike-tipped boots and a matching spiked bracelet to top everything off!
Bracelet: c/o RMS
So I have some reaaaaally exciting news to share. I'm hesitant in saying it, because I really want it to work out, and I have a slight fear of jinxing it. However, things are adding up so it seems more and more likely it will happen. In this post, I spoke about the two goals I wanted to achieve by the end of the year. Well, I've checked off the first one (buy a decent camera), and now it looks like I could mark off the second one too! Which is, save up for a round trip ticket to the Philippines. I reached my goal, and looking back, it's funny how God works. You know how I was complaining about my work hours? It's actually because of the additional hours that I was able to reach my goal so quickly.
And now, I've talked to my manager about the trip, and he's perfectly fine with it since I brought it up so early. I'm unbelievably excited by this possibility! I'll probably end up blogging during the trip too, so when it rolls around, I plan on taking you all with me and showing you my mom's beautiful home country!

PS: Since I forgot to share it in my last post, here's a look at what Patrick and I dressed up as for Halloween. I knew I'd get another use out of that blonde wig...
Any guesses?
We were Sandy and Danny from Grease!
