Fall Print Mixing: Leopard and Florals

You know how I said I pass by a corn field every morning on my way to school? Well, I finally dragged mom along with me so we could take a few outfit photos here. And I'm seriously loving how they turned out! It was perfect timing too, because the farmers are starting to cut them down now.

I'm really loving how these photos turned out. For one thing, I'm wearing two of my favorite prints together - leopard and florals.
Another thing - I finally got knee-high boots! These are definitely my new favorites. I've worn them almost every day since I got them since they keep my legs warmer than if I just wear jeans and sneakers. I'm really excited with the fit too. The reason they're only my first pair of knee high boots is because most don't fit my calves. Ha, I know I've mentioned my beastly calves before, but it's embarrassing how often a knee high pair won't zip over them. But at last I've found a forgiving pair that still looks amazing! They're incredibly comfortable and have some awesome buckle details too.
Alright, so enough fashion talk. Last night, Patrick took me to the Haunted Mansions of Albion! It's a spooky old college campus that was closed in 1951 because of the low income and lack of funding. It was briefly opened again before finally closing in 1969 for the last time. However, there have been rumors of paranormal activity, and many groups have come to investigate into it. So, to play up the creepy background, they turned it into a haunting attraction by decorating each building and hiring actors to play freaky roles. It was definitely a fright-filled night!
They do such a good job of playing up the suspense. Shrieks rang out from every corner of the campus, and I won't deny, I probably crushed Patrick's hand multiple times. However, I never shattered his eardrums. Haha, I'm just not a shrieker I suppose. More of a jumper. There were multiple, scarily costumed actors that would rush out from a dark corner, right up in your face, but I would flinch and that would be it. Actually, my reaction to the creepiness was to joke around to try and lighten the suspense. I guess I'm not that much fun to take to a horror house! Aha, however, don't take me to a horror movie. I absolutely hate those. Those can get to me.

I've got a lot of photos saved up to share with you guys that I haven't gotten around to posting yet. I almost want to hang on to them just so that when I get really slammed with work and school I can at least update on the blog with something. Haha, so I'll work my way through the outfits I have yet to share with you all.
Hope everyone had a safe and creeptastic Halloween!

You look so cute! Loving the pattern mixing, and I think you were wise to stick to the olive parka and boots to tone down the print-clash!

Love how the leopard and floral print look together! The boots are so cool, but with our tropical weather all year long I could never wear those and the photos turned out super cool! And the haunted house thing sounds so fun! I'm more the kind of girl who concentrates on getting scared cause it doesn't happen that easy for me haha
