Too Cool for School

Dress: c/o Crash & Burn   Tights: Walmart   Boots: c/o My Hot Shoes   Necklace: (won in giveaway) c/o Phrenzy   Ring: c/o Romwe via Latexfashion   Glasses: c/o Glasses Shop   Earrings: c/o Too Sexy Jeans
It's been too long since I wore this dress (last time was here). However, with the cooling temperatures, it is the perfect long-sleeved option to have! I love the beautiful, deep navy, tie-dye print. When it gets really cold, I'll probably add a leather jacket on top to stay toasty. However, the day was just warm enough I could get away without it.
Rawr! Isn't this claw ring just so fun? Haha, I couldn't stop tapping my thumb against every surface while wearing this.
Oh, so you know how I told you last post Patrick and I were going to the Haunted Mansions? Well, we didn't. Haha, we checked to see what time they were open to and good thing we did - they weren't even open that day! So instead, we're hoping to go Halloween night. We might even dress up. Won't that be fun!?
Hopefully he'll be up for it by then. Poor boy had to go through surgery today. Nothing life threatening, but it was for a deviated septum. He'll be in the recovery stage for a while, so we'll see.
So...I have a confession to make.
I am falling into a terrible habit of skipping math class.
It's my last class and goes from 3-3:50, and for the most part, I really don't feel like I need to be there to learn the lesson. Since all the homework's done online, there's a tutorial attached to every problem showing you how to do it. So yeah...it's always sooo tempting for me to not show up for that last hour, especially since the teacher doesn't even take attendance.
But I'm working on it. I actually just wrote an essay for English class talking about education and how going to college helps develop a person's lifestyle and future habits. Haha, I was talking about how a college student has much more freedom and it becomes easier to abuse it. Man, talk about preaching to the choir, huh?
In other news, I've been enjoying learning how to do Thriller in my dance class - it is ridiculously fun! I only wish I could join in on the Thrill the World flash mob we're doing this weekend. Unfortunately, I have work at the time they're performing it. :(
Now there's another temptation for me to face...should I call in sick or not? I can claim I've been infected with the zombie virus. Haha!
Gosh, don't fall into my bad habits guys. Be better than me, and I'll work on being a responsible adult.

Hi Linda, you look like a bohemian princess, the tie-dye is lovely. Aw no, hope Patrick gets well soon. Thriller dance sounds amazingly fun, hope you can make it to the flash mob!

This dress is awesome, I especially love it with the combat boots. A combination of bohemian with a tiny bit of an edge is my favorite!
Hope you're having a beautiful day!

Love this pretty dress and it's super cute paired with the lace ups too. I just bought some I and can't wait to try a similar look. Aw, and best of luck to Patrick too - hope his recovery is smooth. xo V

I couldn't agree more with what you wrote in college--it really does shape you! It's shaped me into this healthy eating biker chick who gets tea from Starbucks every day. And draws a lot more when she's able to. Oops, talking in third person. Your post made me think! ;)

Hehe, but a Halloween party sounds fun! I hope you two have fun going to that. <3 I adore this dress so much on you--it may be another signature Linda dress!

It is honestly a challenge for me to make it to every one of my classes as well. Like today for example...My first class is at 12:30 so by the the time I woke up, worked out, and ate breakfast I did NOT want to go hahaha

But I seriously love your jewelry and the boots! I have similar ones (:

I used to have a class like that where it seemed so easy to do the work without having to go to actual lecture...so then what was the point in wasting gas. Yeah that was a bad habit. Hope you break yours.

skipping late (and early!!) classes was almost a must for me, haha. sometimes I went but then discovered I had forgotten my books.. instead of taking the books I went to McDonald's and then back to my place where I started watching The Simpsons and eating some yummy food. now, that's bad and I was so happy for myself, haha.
anyway, your outfit. it's a lovely dress and I also really like the earrings!

I like this tie dye dress! ^^ very hippie, but the way you combined it it get and edgy look. Love that!

Hope you'll get to go to the haunted manion after all. It sounds pretty spooky! and I'm terrible at math, so I'd never skip that, but i used to skipp Economics aaaall the time!

This dress really is too cool! It has such an awesome relaxed feel to it. Ah, I know exactly what you mean. I almost never go to Anthropology class. She puts the full powerpoints on line, doesn't say anything different in her lectures, and doesn't take attendance. Plus, she lets us know online ahead of time if there's going to be an assignment or test in class, so I know which days to go. I love being lazy ;)

This dress looks so cozy for fall, I love the color! Cute boots too and that claw ring is kind of awesome! Haha. I hope Patrick recovers quickly! And don't worry I used to skip class all the time....

That is SO COOL that you're learning Thriller in your dance class! Being a dancer and a huge MJ fan myself, I am incredibly jealous. I've never been taught the dance, so I guess I'll just have to watch the music video a million times and figure it out myself! Haha. By the way, your necklace is SO neat!
