"Umm...well, we're lost."
That would be Patrick's response to his mom's call when we actually got signal while out exploring the South Hills. That's right, we had no idea where we actually were and if we'd come out of the woods by following the trail we were on or not. We'd left expecting the trip to take a total of two hours, and it was four hours later when we finally made it back home.
It was so fun though, and it resulted in some marvelous photos, as you can see! A wind storm that passed through had already torn most of the leaves off their branches, but we were able to find a few that tenaciously clung to their branches. Plus, I think the barren trees just made an even cooler background.
Patrick played photographer once again, and I think I'll just have to hire him for the position permanently - he did a fantastic job and I'm quite proud of him. Look at how these photos turned out! That one below of the boots on the trail was his idea too.
Nothing like getting lost together for some quality bonding time!
I'm in love with the beautiful colors this time of year. The chilly snap that's in the air is invigorating, and I get to add layers to all my outfits. Something about having to dress warmly that adds a snuggly factor to any look.
The setting was just so fantastic, I had to include more photos than usual!
And I won't lie. This outfit is an old inspiration that I've always remembered from Blonde Bedhead's outfit post here. She combined fur and plaid in such a rugged, cool way that I had to imitate it. I actually remember doing this combo for my strict high school last year too (see here), but this time I got to create the look with actual jeans instead of a denim skirt.

Plus, nothing like some rugged jewelry to complete an outdoorsy look. This arrow bracelet is from Estarer, and I love the unique design.
That would be Patrick, rocking his leather jacket. I must say, he does pull it off very well. Now to add some aviators and possibly a motorcycle, huh? ;)
So tonight he's taking me to see the Haunted Mansions that are such a big attraction here - I'll have to fill you in about that next post. Haha, hope you've had a great weekend everyone! :)
