Now, on to the outfit part.
Dress: c/o August Wrinkle   Scarf: Hot Topic   Heels: Rue 21   Ring: c/o Oasap   Glasses: c/o Glasses Shop

I'm in love with this dress. Not only does it satisfy my closet's craving for oxblood colored items, it goes with my skull print scarf to form a perfectly balanced, gothic look. Plus, you can't go wrong with some thick heeled shoes in my opinion!

I like to keep things mostly positive on this here blog. But at the end of the day, it's basically my journal, and lately, I haven't felt all that upbeat. Which I'm kicking myself over since in retrospect, life is pretty great overall. However, there are certain doubts that are starting to plague me, the oncoming of a flu is hitting me, and the lack of sleep is catching up.

Yuck. I just feel drained lately.Thank goodness we have a 3-day weekend. Our college is taking Columbus Day off! So hopefully I'll be able to catch up on homework and sleep.

So you know how I'm taking guitar lessons? They're one-on-one instruction and only last for half an hour, but I love them. They remind me just how much I enjoy playing guitar!
Anyway, I always get done by 10 o'clock and the next student arrives to take my place. Turns out this guy, Nik, is actually in my Music Appreciation class too. Once we made that connection, we planned an impromptu jam session together Wednesday night. It was great! Also humorous, because while I was waiting for him to show up, I was talking with my friend Saffron about it and told her I'd have to introduce them (she's on the prowl for meeting new guys).
Haha, while talking, one of her guy friends, Cody, came over and joined our conversation.

So then Nik texted and asked where I was, and I headed off to the band room so we could practice. Upon a few minutes of arrival and tuning the guitars he'd brought, Saffron and two of her friends burst into the room. It turned into a fun time hanging out with new people, and now we've decided we should form a band. Because guess who can also play drums? Nik does. Then it turned out Cody plays bass. So I offered what little guitar I can play and my singing voice.
Bam. We have a band. Now to come up with a name...
Haha, anyway, there's my tidbit from college life lately.

Your pictures are so lovely!!~ I really like the old door behind you, and that light ray that was captured in the first picture. Too cute. I also am envious of the fact that you're able to wear a skull scarf and not look like you walked out of Hot Topic, lol!! You're quite cute, and that red oxblood color looks AMAZING on you.

Yay for a long weekend--we have one, too, luclkily! Let's rest up. :) <3
