Watermelon Crush

Dress, Shrug, Bag, & Belt: thrifted   Shoes: c/o My Hot Shoes

I think this is a culmination of some of my best thrifted finds. This dress is a gem, because not only is it close to a good teal shade, it is a major curve booster! I mean, wearing this dress, I actually look like I have boobs. Which is an absolute miracle to achieve...no joke!

My new studded loafers from My Hot Shoes are also a new favorite in my closet. Instead of threatening spikes, there are just cute starfish and shells decorating it. I'm starting to invest in more flats, since as a college girl, I have a lot of scurrying around to do at campus!

Seriously, college will build up some leg muscle on you - as if I didn't have enough already! I remember my first day I was late because of how naive I was on the parking situation. I thought, 'Oh, it's just a community college, it shouldn't be that crazy.'
How wrong I was...as Kirsten put it, "It looked like the streets at New York City!"

It took me a couple panicked rounds of circling in my car before I found an empty slot, and that was out in the Ozarks of campus practically. After that, I power walked to the building my first class was in, trying not to break out into a sprint. In case you don't know, I'm one of  those paranoid, punctual people. I like being at least five minutes early to everything! Thankfully, I made it in time (1 minute early, whoop whoop!) and have since learned my lesson. Arrive extra early if you want to find a spot and get to class on time. Even then, it will take a lot of circling around before you'll probably resign yourself to an exiled section of the parking lot.

Earrings: Claires
So yeah, forget about wearing my tall wedges here. I often cut through the grass to get to classes more quickly, and that's not exactly even ground. In fact, I'm considering a new way to get around campus, one involving either a longboard or bike. Patrick is reaaaally pushing the longboard. Haha, that's how he got around and he loves it. Plus, he's already got two and he's willing to lend me one until I get my own.
So let the longboarding lessons begin! I really would love to be able to do that. I'm sick of walking everywhere!

The only downside would be the clothes I'd have to limit myself to...aha, because honestly, could you see me longboarding in say...well, this outfit? Haha, I'll probably end up wearing a lot of jeans or shorts and sneakers. But don't worry, it won't be the stereotypical kind. You can always add a fashionable twist. ;)

...then eat you, because watermelon is delicious.

that dress totally does give you boobs--don't you love being able to find boob-a-licious clothes?! (or bras, even). And the shade of teal is just so perfect. Love it with that purse, too!

YOU HAVE SO MANY CUTE SHOES I am so envious.

Those shoes are incredibly cute. I love the little starfish!

Yeah, I always ended up wearing some sort of jean-outfit when I was in college. It was easy and comfy (since I am one of those people who refuses to wear sweat pants to class)

Love the teal dress girly!

Hahaha I seriously feel like I lose weight every time school starts again due to all the walking! I'm one of those people who always have to get to class a couple minutes early even though I don't really need to as well! I love your dress, such a great thrift find and goes perfectly with those shoes :)

First of all, I want your shoes. They're super cute!
Second, it's hilarious that you pointed out how this dress creates the illusion of some boob action. Seeing as how I, too, am a flat-chested girl, I can appreciate this. We need all the help we can get.

what a gorgeous colour combination! :) I just love beautiful bright shades. and how awesome is the fact that most of the pieces you're wearing are thrifted!! and even the non-thrifted part of your outfit is absolutely great. I know I have too many shoes and boots but I would really like to have something like that too :P

I am obsessed with the shoes, the starfishes are so cute and I love the mint color. The teal plus mint is such a nice color combo. Woah that's cool that you can longboard on the school campus and even more cool that Patrick is letting you borrow his until you get your own.
