SLIDER

Starry Eyed

Button Down: Walmart   Tank: thrifted   Skirt: thrifted   Bag: garage sale   Boots: c/o My Hot Shoes   Glasses: c/o Firmoo   Bangles: Philippines

I don't think there are words for the happiness that's still glowing in my heart. Last night was like a scene right out of a good movie or book. I'm sure you can guess, but it's all due to a night with Patrick.
I feel almost funny sharing this with all of you, but it's like I have a bunch of girlfriends that I can tell these moments to. Besides, I'm the one who started mentioning our developing friendship that led to where we are now. I guess it's only fair to let you in on some things still, right? :)

After eating out, we headed to his house to watch a little TV and then did what we've been planning on for a while, which was star gazing! He'd found the best spot too - on top of his roof. We took a couple blankets, a pillow, and a thermos of coffee up the ladder and found a perfect little nook where the house curved. We settled down with our cushion of blankets, and when I looked up at the star-soaked sky, I felt breathless. It was truly stunning and awe-inspiring. Something about being on the roof removed all the other distractions of our surroundings like trees, cars, or anything else. It was as if it was just me and Patrick and the sky. We were isolated from the world and it was just us. I've never experienced anything like that with someone, and now that night feels so special between us.Past midnight, he pulled me close and whispered, "Oh, happy two months by the way."

I can't believe it's only been two months! Whenever we spend time together it's like the most natural feeling in the world. He's not just my boyfriend but a real friend to me. As we joked, we're "friends with benefits" haha!
So anyway, that's a little peek at what happened last night.
Best. Date. Yet!
He told me he's planning another one though, and I'm sure it'll be fantastic as well. I'll be sure to let you know ;)

On a fashion-related note, are you surprised to see me wearing glasses? I'm near-sighted, but I almost always wear contacts since I prefer them for when I'm dealing with customers or playing sports. But for days when my eyes just don't want to deal with them or I'm in a lazy mood, I like being able to slip on a nice pair of glasses. So when Firmoo contacted me asking if I'd like to review one of their frames, I was thrilled at the opportunity! These cute, nerdy glasses are comfortable and I've gotten several compliments on them already. If you wear glasses or are just looking for some sunglasses, be sure to check out Firmoo - they have a program going on where you get your first pair of glasses for free; all you pay is shipping!

Aaaand, check out my new favorite pair of desert boots! These are so perfect for style and comfort. The flat heel make it easy to cross campus in, and I like the vintage sort of vibe they have to them.

Lastly, here's my beautiful mother and I. Isn't she just the most adorable thing? Haha, she played photographer for me today, so I had to get a picture with her as well.
