SLIDER

Walk the Line

Tank: c/o Very Honey   Shorts: Macys   Bag: Rue 21   Boots: Target

In case you can't tell from the cheesy smile in the photo above, I'm quite happy over how these photos turned out. Nothing beats having pictures taken in the middle of a road! It was a little nerve wracking since Kirsten and I had to scurry off to the side of the street every time a car came along, but it was well worth it! Another reason to be smiling? I'm sure you've already noticed it, but my new header! I was lucky enough to win Jessica's design giveaway and I couldn't be happier. You should really stop by her blog, because not only is she a great designer, it translates to her style as well. The girls got an eye for detail.

Bangle: Claires   Globe Bracelet: c/o Eclectic Eccentricity

This outfit is something I'm considering wearing for my first day of college. This slouchy tank is perfect for looking casual yet cool, since it has a hi-low hem. Plus, with some touches of jewelry, a tribal print bag, and some desert boots, it's perfect! School outfits have been on my brain lately, because is anyone else noticing how fast the months are flying by?? I still feel as if I just graduated high school and summer break will last forever. But no, it's almost the end of July and Seventeen magazine is informing me I need to do some back-to-school shopping soon.

Necklace: c/o Eclectic Eccentricity

I'm really looking forward to starting this next chapter of my life. College will be so exciting! I feel as if I'm starting off this experience the right way too - I'm sticking close to home and going to the community college for now. At first I felt disappointed when I realized I wouldn't be able to go out of state (as you all know, I'm big on traveling and discovering new places), but now that I'm reflecting on it, it's not so bad. I'll be saving a ton of money and figuring out what I really want to do with my life. FAFSA really came through for me, and it's going to cover my entire tuition! I actually have a large amount leftover to pay for my books and whatever else I'll need. Score!

I have a a couple of goals I want to achieve by the end of the year.
1) Buy a decent camera. While my little point-and-shoot has served me well, it's really difficult to get crisp, blog-worthy photos. Plus, I'm considering going into photojournalism eventually, so why not get a head start?
2) Save up money for a round trip ticket to the Philippines! Mom has already told me I can go with her this Christmas if I can pay for it. So I calculated how much I'd have to save from each paycheck I'm getting, and I'll basically have to resist spending any of it to reach the goal by December!

No big back-to-school shopping for me. Haha, but it will be so worth it! I'm excited by the possibilities the future holds. Anything in your future that's giving you flutters?

Going to a community college for now is smart--you'll get all of your core classes out of the way without having to pay the fees of out of state tuition. It'll probably be easier to transition from there, too. :) You did the right thing--but hey, you know that!

Ooooh, in the middle of the road!~ so daring, you are. ;D These turned out really awesome, I can see why you like them so much. Those heels of yours are too too cute and I love how happyhaphypahpy you always are eee aww :D :D

I love this outfit, especially the cool hem of your top! This would be a perfect school outfit. I also really like the bag, the pattern on it is amazing! Grrr it's almost time for school again. But actually (kind of strange) I am kind of looking forward to school. And wow that is awesome that FAFSA is covering your entire tuition. I'm trying to find out what I really want to do with my life too. gosh it's hard figuring this stuff out!
