BEAUTY // Deck the Halls: Nail Tutorial

I was recently inspired to do my nails (again - I do them about once a week!) by this photo:
However, since my last nail polish look had a grey base, I decided to switch it up a little and make it brighter. The end results?

Personally, I prefer my brighter version. ;)
Here is what I used to make them:

1) First off, use a good base coat. Keep your top coat nearby because once everything has dried, you'll want to use it so your design will last longer!

2) For the base coat, I switched the grey color out for a light, teal one. This is OPI's Mermaid Tears. Once its dried, paint on a coat (or two, depending on how thick your polish comes out) of sparkly nail polish.

3) Now for the fun part. Using a thin, nail art brush (or pen if you have one), paint two little red dots on the corner of the nails you want decorated with holly. Once that's dried, paint the leaves on both sides of it.

As an extra detail, you can add a thin, dark line to define the leaves, but it's not necessary. Either way, you'll have some fabulous, sparkly nails that are perfect for the holidays!

Good luck.

Ahhh these are soo cute!! I love the teal underneath, it really makes the holly pop. So creative and wonderful. A great tutorial :)
